Family Wellness Sessions

Hi, I’m Tova — a registered associate marriage and family therapist and provisional-registered drama therapist passionate about helping families build healthier relationships with food, movement, and themselves.

Family Health & Habits Lab is a supportive wellness experience for families of all kinds, where healthy habits grow through connection, creativity, and compassion. This program helps families create a sustainable wellness plan rooted in confidence, skills, and emotional well-being. Together, we explore nutrition patterns, movement routines, emotional coping tools, and family dynamics to build lifelong habits that feel doable and empowering.

This gentle, structured journey is designed to support:

✔ healthier eating routines
✔ balanced emotional coping
✔ a positive relationship with food & body
✔ better communication & family rhythm
✔ confidence & self-esteem in all family members

…and a home environment where well-being feels natural, supportive, and joyful.

This program is designed for families of all kinds, including:

  • Parents and young children
  • Families with teens
  • Young adults living at home
  • Adult children and parents navigating wellness together
  • Couples working on shared health and lifestyle goals
  • Multigenerational households

Because building healthy habits and healthy emotional patterns around food, movement, and body image matters at every age, stage, and family structure.

This program is a good fit for those who want to:

  • Support a child or family member facing weight-related stress or health concerns
  • Build healthier routines together without diet-culture pressure, shame, or rigidity
  • Foster body confidence, empowerment, and emotional resilience in themselves and their children
  • Strengthen coping skills for stress and emotional eating
  • Improve communication and emotional connection around food and lifestyle habits
  • Create a home environment where nourishing choices feel natural and supported
  • Shift habits as a team — with no one being singled out

Whether you’re parenting little ones, guiding teens, supporting adult children, or working as a couple toward shared wellness, this program helps you build a home environment where health, confidence, and compassion thrive together.

A flexible 5 session guided process for families, couples, and households of all kinds that helps you build healthy routines, emotional resilience, and lasting habits together. Each session is 60 minutes.

Starting with the Foundations & Family Vision session, we’ll identify the top 3 priorities for your family for sessions 2, 3, and 4 from the areas below. Some families focus on emotional eating and routines. Others emphasize meal planning and communication. Some do all movement-focused work. Some tackle food environment, stress, and habits. The final session is focused on your family’s Wellness Plan so you leave the program with sustainable strategies for long-term wellness, confidence, and connection.

This program is structured, but not rigid. It’s personalized, not one-size-fits-all.

Is this a weight-loss program?

No.
This is a well-being and habit-building program designed for families, couples, and households of all kinds. It supports healthy routines, confidence, and self-regulation across ages.
We focus on behaviors, emotional health, and sustainable habits, not numbers on a scale (unless there is a medical reason/concern to do so).

Do parents, partners, or adult children participate?

Yes — this is a family collaboration space in the sense that everyone in the household is encouraged to participate. Parents, partners, and adult children can all play a role in modeling habits, creating supportive routines, and building a positive home environment. That said, not everyone in the household is required to participate—I work with whoever is able and willing to.

What if only one family member needs support?

I still work from a ‘whole family’ perspective, even if only some family members are able to participate in the actual sessions. Research shows individuals thrive when the home environment and routines shift collectively, without singling anyone out.

Do we follow a strict diet?

No strict diets.
We explore balanced eating, intuitive skills, and flexible routines.
There’s no “good vs. bad” food — just awareness, choice, and confidence for every family member.

What if a family member has body-image concerns?

This program supports:

  • Body respect for all ages
  • Self-worth and confidence
  • Healthy coping skills
  • Positive self-expression

What if someone in my family is resistant?

Completely normal. I can use play, creativity, curiosity, and small wins to encourage participation, and not all family members are required to participate if they don’t want to.

Do all family members need to attend every session?

No. Attendance is flexible.

I understand that schedules, work, school, and other commitments can make it hard for everyone to attend every session. Families are encouraged to participate as fully as they can, and sessions are designed so that each person can benefit even if they miss one or more meetings. Any member of the family who wants to participant, can. All family members are not required to participate.

You’ll still be able to:

  • Build shared routines and family habits
  • Access tools and strategies for all household members
  • Keep progress moving forward even if attendance varies

Can this program help couples?

Yes — couples can participate together to create shared habits, routines, and communication strategies that support health and connection.

Is this suitable for multigenerational households?

Absolutely — the program is designed to include households of all structures, guiding everyone toward wellness together.

How is this program structured?

This program is structured as a short-term family wellness series.

  • Investment: $160 per 60-minute family session
  • No long-term commitment required
  • Pay-as-you-go
  • Flexible attendance — different family members can join different weeks as needed.
  • We can discuss follow up, booster, and check in sessions if you like

This allows families to benefit from a structured process without pressure or long-term contracts.
